5.00pm, as I pulled the handle of the McDonalds glass doors which says ‘Push’, I stepped into the place, with the Big Mac Chant chanting itself over and over in my head. I turned left and saw Dennis and Winnie sitting there waiting for me – I was late.
Within a couple of minutes, I walked over to the counter with Winnie, to clarify a few things with the lady there concerning the rules of the Chant challenge, and proceeded to order a set of McValue meal in order to be qualified for the Big Mac Chant challenge. My order was :

A regular set of Filet-O-Fish.
Then I received a small black-and-white voucher that enables me to start chanting the Big Mac Chant whenever I want. I contemplated for a while whether to chant it on the spot or… next time. I finally decided to do it there and then. The lady scrambled to find a stopwatch and we began right after that.
Lady : Okay, boleh mula?
Me : Erm… … .. okay. Mula.
The lady pressed the ’start’ button and I began chanting :
Two all beef patties,
special sauce, lettuce, cheese,
pickles, onions
on a sesame seed bun
I looked at her nervously, feeling like a child who made a mistake and waiting to be scolded, and asked her “Boleh ah?”
She didnt reply me immediatey. Instead she spun around a few seconds looking for someone and only replied me with ‘Boleh’ after that. I was thinking ‘Halloooo! This is a matter of life and death here~’
In the end a guy came and asked me to write my name down together with the time I used – 3.88 seconds. Yes I know that’s a pretty long time. My usual impromptu chant takes around 2.85 secs. Well, I feared that if I go fast, every word will not sound understandable to the guy and there goes my chance to chant.
i discovered that I am the 3rd person to take up the challenge for this week. At least the guy told me so. If he was lying, maybe I’m the third from the very start.. *mukatebal*. And also the person who took the longest time. Ah. who cares. As long as I can prove myself to have the power of Speedster and get a free Big Mac for fun, it’s sufficient enough.
I received another voucher (this time a colourful one) in exchange of the black-and-white voucher. This second voucher enables me to officially claim my Big Mac anytime while the promotion lasts. Again, I contemplated whether to claim on the spot or next time. I finally decided to claim it there and then.

The Big Mac and the colourful Voucher
I don’t know if this should be considered as some awesomely admirable achievement, but I do feel… satisfied
